There are three farmers markets right in Punta Gorda, Florida.
Voted the ‘Best Small Market in Florida’ and 15th in the USA, the year-round Saturday Downtown Punta Gorda Market is a must. There are a large number of vendors offering fruits and vegetables, dried fruits and nuts, Italian bakery, fresh homemade pasta, kitchenware, cupcakes, beef and fresh seafood, fresh citrus, jewelry, candles and soaps, dip mixes, Florida arts and crafts, cheese, French bakery, baguettes and olives, homemade pies, orchids, organic produce, personalized pens, kettle corn, coffee beans and drinks, native and exotic plants. The Farmers Market has become a Saturday morning tradition, adding vendors weekly. The market is 8am – 1pm in the winter and 8am – noon in the summer. Also enjoy live music from 9am – noon.
The Punta Gorda History Park Farmers Market is on Sundays from 8am – 2pm. Along with the many vendors, you can also tour the Historic Homes located in the Park. History Park is located at 501 Shreve Street.
The last of the three farmers markets held during the winter months is the American Legion Outdoor Market. Their prices are great! American Legion Post 103 is located at 2101 Taylor Road.
